I’ve seen the following graphic shared a lot on the Internet over the years. As all of you are no doubt aware though Japanese emoticons have become a lot more detailed and crazy. These are simple, “entry level” Japanese emoticons and since this graphic was created people have created tons of awesome, more advanced kaomoji emoticons. So I decided to create my own sort of infographic to sort of highlight how advanced Japanese emoticons have become. I call it, “advanced Japanese emoticons”.I’m pretty happy with how it turned out and it features some of my all-time favourite kaomojis. Hopefully this will help people to realize how far Japanese emoticons have become and help advertise the site a bit.Feel free to download this image and share it wherever you want! You can click on the image to get the full resolution version.

I was browsing the Internet (for Japanese emoticon related things I swear! (~>ω>)~ ) and I stumbled upon a French blog called La Paillette Frondeuse and some pretty impressive kamoji nail art. Check out some of the nail art below. And you can check out the original post on their website here. It’s a whole site about nail art so if that’s your thing then definitely check it out although everything is in French.
Valentines Day is almost here and whether you love this day or hate it there are Japanese emoticons for you. This is actually an event where we have a ton of appropriate emoticons in our Love, Kissing and Hugging categories. I’m not going to bother posting them all again here but I am going to point out my favourites. If you’re excited for Valentines day and you’re looking for some excellent kaomojis to text to your significant other, here are some of my favourites: ( ´͈ ॢꇴ `͈ॢ)・*♡(๑ˊ͈ ॢꇴ ˋ͈)〜♡॰ॱI love how expressive the face on both these emoticons are. (人-ω-)。o.゚。*・♡Good Night♡・*。゚o。(-ω-人)This is a very sweet emoticon to text your significant other before you fall asleep if you’re apart. *ଘ( ॢᵕ꒶̮ᵕ(꒡ᵋ ꒡ღ)zZ‥Here’s another sweet emoticon kissing someone who’s asleep. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づThis is always an excellent kissing/hugging/glomping emoticon appropriate for almost any situation. (ʃƪ ˘ ³˘)This is another really cute and sweet looking kissing emoticon. Shy emoticons also work great for Valentines Day if you like someone and you’re really shy. Now if you’re not looking forward to Valentines Day and all the commercialism and what not there are some excellent kaomoji that you can use too, especially when those couples you know post all kinds of Valentines Day nonsense on their Facebook pages. (∿°○°)∿ ︵ ǝʌol(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡︵ ǝʌol(╯°□°)╯︵ ǝʌol(╯°Д°)╯︵ ǝʌolThese are all variations of the table flipping emoticon but they’re perfect if you’ve had it with “love”. ( ◜◡^)っ✂╰⋃╯If there’s a male you’re particularly angry with then this emoticon is quite appropriate. Any emoticon from the angry category also work perfectly when people won’t shut up about Valentines Day. There’s also actually a bunch of Valentines Day emoji as well. From left to right in the top row you have: a church for a wedding, a love hotel, some chocolate since in Japan on Valentines Day girls give chocolates to guys they like, a wrapped heart sort of gift, a guy and girl holding hands, two guys holding hands, two girls holding hands, a kiss, a couple and two bunny girls (because why not?)From left to right in the middle row you have: a guy bowing in apology because he screwed up and didn’t get a Valentines gift for his girl, several different colours of hears, a broken heart, a growing heart, a beating heart and two hearts. On the bottom row from left tonight you have: a sparkling heart, revolving hearts, a heart pierced by an arrow, a low note, a kiss/lipstick mark, an engagement ring, a diamond and a glass of wine.
