The Amount of Emoticons on this Site is Over 9,000!

I just finished another big update and the number of emoticons on this site is now over 9,000! 9,130 to be exact.That’s all I really have to say. I added emoticons to pretty much every category on the site and I’m working on one more big update after which I should hopefully have some news about the app update so stay tuned!

Another Massive Update, Almost 2,000 New Emoticons!

I’ve just finished making another massive site update! I added almost 2,000 new kaomoji emoticons bringing the total on the site to just over 8,500!My goal is to get over 9,000 emoticons on the site just so I can make an “Over 9000!” joke…I have kind of ran out of emoticons though so I need to scour the Internet again to find more for the next update.Always remember that you can send suggestions to me through this site, through Facebook, on Twitter or Google+. All of the suggestions you’ve sent in as of this date have been added to the site.I’m still working on a massive update for iOS app for iOS 8. Still not time line on that but hopefully I’ll have news soon.Also, stay tuned for another contest much like our Halloween Pumpkin Contest coming in December.And that’s all the news I have for now, thanks for using the site and all your support!

Biggest Site Update Yet, Over 2,500 New Emoticons!

If you’ve noticed new kaomoji emoticons and categories slowly appearing on the site it’s because for the last week or so I’ve been working on the biggest site update yet!I’ve added over 2,500 new kaomoji emoticons and 6 new categories bringing the grand total of Japanese emoticons on this site 6,727!My next goal is to get that number OVER 9,000!Firstly, lets talk about the new categories I’ve added.I added a category I call Fighting, Violence and Weapons. This section contains kaomojis that are fighting each other, hurting each other, being violent and holding weapons such as guns and swords.The second category I added I call Hungry Emoticons. These emoticons are hungry. They’re so hungry they’re licking their lips or maybe even drooling.I also added a category of Magic Emoticons. These are all the emoticons with magic wands shooting stars, fire or flowers.There’s also a new category of Saluting Emoticons. I had a surprisingly large number of these emoticons to add to the site. These are simply kaomojis that are saluting with one hand.I added a new category of Emoticons with Sunglasses. These kaomoji are all wearing sunglasses, regular glasses or monocles but mostly sunglasses.Finally I added a category called Objects and Props. These are for emoticons that are things or emoticons where a kaomoji is using an object. I had just enough that I figured they needed their own category too.Now that these six categories have been added I went back pages such as the Other Actions and Miscellaneous Emoticons pages and took a bunch of emoticons out of there and added them to these new categories.Also as part of this update I gave some of the pages such as the characters and memes and words pages a massive clean up. Instead of different emoticons randomly in the same table I separated them out into different sections to make it much easier to find the emoticon you’re looking for.So have fun with all the new emoticons and categories and thanks for enjoying this site!P.S. I have big plans for the mobile app. I’m currently working on the design phase and trying to save up as much money as I can to hire a new developer to make some massive updates. I don’t really have a timeline on that quite yet but stay tuned!٩(๑>◡<๑)۶

This Halloween we’re having our first ever Japanese emoticon pumpkin carving contest!The rules are very simple. Carve any Japanese emoticon into a jack-o’-lantern and send a photo of it to (removed).Whoever sends the most awesome looking one will win a Kaoiro Japanese Emoticons Stamp!

A Giant Site Update with Almost 1,000 New Emoticons!

I’ve just finished another giant site update the main feature of which is almost 1,000 new kaomoji emoticons added across almost every category on this site. That officially brings the total number of Japanese emoticons on this site to more than 4,000! 4,011 to be exact.Here are some of my favourite ones from the new update:

I’ve now added all the emoticon suggestions you guys have sent me. If you sent me something in the last couple of months then it’s now on the site.Another thing I did was clean up a bunch of the pages. For example, some of the categories like Table Flipping, Running and Words have emoticons that are bit larger than the ones in other categories. Since the font size on this new site is a bit bigger than it was before I’ve put these pages in two column tables instead of three column ones so the pages are a lot less cluttered and easy to read.Also, since I’ve now acquired a bunch of nose bleed kaomojis I added their own Nose Bleed Emoticons page. The site’s come a long way since I was first asked to find someone a nose bleed emoticon over Twitter and had never seen any at the time.This update was brought to you by a Japanese musical group called Moumoon, specifically the albums No Night Land, LOVE Before We DIE and ICE CANDY which for some reason I had no idea were out (despite following them on Twitter and sometimes getting emoticons from them).Because if you’re going to spend a ton of time updating a website about Japanese emoticons you have to listen to J-Pop while you’re working. I highly recommend you check out Moumoon though, they’re great.I still have many thousands of kaomojis to sort through so look forward to more updates, some app news and some other cool stuff in the future!Finally, a huge thanks to everyone’s who’s liked us on Facebook as we’ve now hit over 10,000 likes!
