This Site is Suddenly 1,000 Times More Awesome!

So as you can see the site is suddenly a lot more awesome!I did a complete design overhaul and I think everyone will agree that everything looks much, much better.  Plus a bunch of things that were broken on the previous site are now fixed.Not only is the site completely redesigned but I also did a massive overhaul of the emoticons database.  I actually have an emoticons database now, it’s a giant spreadsheet and it’s pretty awesome.I removed a bunch of duplicate emoticons, fixed a bunch of broken ones since a lot of characters don’t display correctly in a lot of situations and I reworked the categories.I renamed some of the categories and added in eleven new categories: Crying, Running, Thinking, Crazy, Excited, Birds, Rabbits, Random, Characters, Clouds and a category I like to call WTF.Not only that but some of the emoticons are now in more than one category to make finding them much easier.For example (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ is in the action category since throwing a table is an action but it’s also in the angry category since you’d probably have to be pretty angry to throw a table like that.We also have an awesome random emoticons generator!  A huge thanks to Dominick for setting that up!

Oh yeah, I also added like a thousand emoticons to the site!

  2. WOAH!!! I was just using this site earlier today (like I do every day for my kawaii emoticons) and now it’s all design overhaul fabulous!!! LOVE IT! Keep up the awesome work, it is much appreciated. Without japaneseemoticons.net, my internet text wouldn’t be nearly as cute.

  3. I love the new design, it looks much more awesome, but there is one thing, that I miss: Emoticons such as o (◡‿◡✿) , (✿◠‿◠) and (◕‿◕✿) . So the ones with big eyes and/or flowers. I have only found ｡◕‿◕｡ but since those four were my mostly used and favourite ones I’m kinda missing them Dx

    • I probably removed those because the eyes don’t always show up for some reason on certain computers. But since they’re working for you I’ve added them back into the Happy category.

  4. The new design is actually slower on my browser, and I got so used to the old lists that now it’s harder to find the emoticons I need :/
    But apart from that, it’ all pretty great! New categories are really useful!

    • I’m not sure why the site would be slower, it’s simpler and less bloated than it was before.

      There are about twice as many emoticons on the site now though so it’s understandable that the All Emoticons page might be a bit slower now though.

      And don’t worry, you’ll get used to the new site soon. (＾∇＾)

  8. The site is a lot more awesome now! * o * The only problem I would point out though is that the website title (on the tab) has a typo on Japanese (it’s spelled Japanse lool) xD Otherwise it’s great!

    Will there be an update for the iOS-app so that I can have all these new things on my phone too? :)

  11. I really like the new update! But some of the emoticons seem to look a little different with the current font than they did before.. ( ；´Д｀)

    • Some of the emoticons I edited because some characters don’t always work and you could run into situations where you copy an emoticon from here into a site and you can’t see it.

      So in cases like that I edited the emoticon with a similar looking character that I know will work everywhere. That might be why some of them look different.
