Seinfeld Emoji, I’m speechless. I have no speech.

October 12, 2014 By Peter

A free app called Seinfeld Emoji is now available for iPhones and includes 42 Seinfeld themed emoji such as Jerry, George, Elaine, Junior Mints and my personal favourite, the Festivus pole. The concept for the app comes from Jason Richards from the @Seinfeld2000 account on Twitter. He enlisted the help of designer Kevin McCauley to draw about five Seinfeld emojis but because Kevin was such as huge fan of the series he came back with a lot more. Unfortunately there’s no way for these emoji to integrate with the default keyboard in iOS so it’s a separate app and you’re technically sending small images, not emoji but having access to a bunch of Seinfeld emoji is still pretty awesome. You can download the app here.

Android App Bug Fixes and a Free Version!

June 22, 2014 By Peter

There was some kind of weird bug in the Android app that was causing all the icons in the menus to display the app icon instead of the correct icons with the Japanese Kanji characters.  It made the app look pretty bad too. I’m pleased to say though that that bug has been fixed.  Version 1.4 of the app is now available and if you’ve already downloaded the app you can install the update for free. I’m also pleased to announce that like the iOS version there’s now a free Android version! The free Android version doesn’t have all the emoticons that are available in the paid version and it does have ads but the favourites menu, create an emoticon screen and everything else works the same so you can test out the app first and see if you like it before downloading the paid version.

Download the free Android version here!

As always 5-star reviews are incredibly appreciated and they help the app get found on Google Play easier which is a huge help especially considering how many other apps there are out there that have taken their content directly form this site.

New iOS App Page

June 5, 2014 By Peter

I’ve made a new page for the iOS app and I think it looks quite nice.  If you’re interested in learning a little bit more about the Japanese Emoticons iOS app click the link below. I’ll be making a similar page for the Android app next. (Edit: page removed for now)

The Android App is Working Now!

April 23, 2014 By Peter

It’s looking now like the Android app is fixed and everything is working! Thanks everyone for being patient while I tried to get this fixed and a huge thanks to everyone who’s left a positive review and to everyone who has edited their negative reviews to make them positive. If for any reason the app is still crashing please uninstall it completely and then reinstall it.  This has fixed the issue for several people and make sure you’ve got version 1.2 installed. If the app still crashes after uninstalling and re-installing it please click the report button after the crash and I’ll get a notification in my Android Developers account with all the information I’ll need to get someone to fix it.  That’s actually a pretty cool feature. Enjoy! ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆

Attempt #3 with the Android app!

April 22, 2014 By Peter

So I’ve just submitted the third version of the Android app to Google Play.  The developer completely re-wrote the database and says he’s sure it’s fixed this time so hopefully now it works. It kind of sucks not having an Android phone because I can’t really test it. Version 1.2 of the app should be live in a couple of hours so download the update and let me know if it’s working now.  Hopefully it is!
