All 10,000+ Of Our Kaomoji Japanese Emoticons in One Giant List

This is the Internet’s largest list of over 10,000 specially selected kaomoji Japanese emoticons.  The categories from this site are listed in alphabetical order as you scroll down the page.

You can also jump to any specific category of emoticon using the links in the main menu of this site. The categories are divided into 4 master categories: Feelings, Animals, Actions and Miscellaneous with sub categories under each of those master categories.

If this is your first time here and you’re not sure what a kaomoji is or how kaomoji are different from emoji then check out this page explaining the difference between kaomoji and emoji emoticons.  These emoticons are also sometimes called emojicons, dongers, facemarks or smilies.

Angry

Angry Japanese Emoticons

These kaomojis are angry and man there are a ton of them.  What did you guys do to make so many of these so angry?  We’ll that’s not important since none of these are actually something real with real feelings or anything like that…  What was I talking about?  Oh yes, angry Japanese emoticons.  If you’re angry and you want to express that anger of yours then these are the emoticons that you want to use!  You’ll find all kinds of kaomoji with varying levels of anger.

For most angry Japanese emoticons just use > and < for eyes. You can also use ≧ or ≦. Two ¬’s makes sort of a displeased looking face. You can also use slashes or ヽ and ノ to make it look like the emoticon is throwing up it’s hands in anger and if you really want to express anger use a 凸 for a middle finger.  益 also makes a fantastic mouth for angry Japanese emoticons.

Some times you feel so angry that you just need to give someone the finger or maybe even two fingers.

These emojis are so angry that raised arms weren’t enough so they’ve raised and are shaking their fists around.  Characters like ٩, ᕙ, ᕦ, ೕ or even a letter P make excellent raised fists.

These dongers are angry but they’re some of the most complex looking emoticons on this page and might not display correctly in all browsers.

In addition to the emoticon these ones also have fancy looking words to help communicate their anger.

Crazy and or Broken

These are some fancier Japanese emoticons that spill over multiple lines of text.  However, not every browser displays these correctly.  If they’re all in one line or they look broken then try using a different browser.  I’ve find Safari has the most success displaying these emoticons correctly.

Apologizing

Apologizing Japanese Emoticons

These kaomojis screwed up some how and now they have to apologize which kind of sucks.  If you screw up too you can use one of these to hopefully lighten the mood.

A lot of these Japanese emoticons are supposed to represent someone bowing down because they’re apologizing or possibly thanking someone for something. These use the letter m to show hands and the eyes are low to the ground.

Bears

Japanese Emoticon Bears

Just when I think I must have seen all the possible bear kaomoji emoticons that exist I find even more.  It’s almost scary how many different Japanese emoticon bears there are.  They’re all really cute too.  I’m especially impressed with the Harry Potter bears.

The main thing with Japanese bear emoticons is the mouth. You want to use (エ), ㉨ or possibly a ω. Everything else is pretty much the same as other Japanese emoticons.  There’s also the other sort of small type of bear made with ᶘ and ᶅ for the sides of the head.

Famous, Special or Just Plain Awesome Bears

These are some of the more famous bear kaomojis.  Some are famous characters like Winnie the Pooh and others are just more awesome than the rest of the bear emojis here.

ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ Style Bears

These are my favourite kind of bear emoticons.  Just by using ʕ and ʔ for the sides of the head you can make some awesome looking bear faces.  As an added bonus a lot of these kaomoji look like toast.

Birds

Japanese Emoticon Birds

These kaomoji birds are really cute. This page has ducks, owls, baby birds, flappy birds, all kinds!  There’s even a bat down there at the bottom of the page.  It snuck in because it has wings…

You can create Japanese emoticon birds by using Θ for a beak (works great for baby birds) or pointy characters like < or ▼.  If you use those you can use pretty much anything else for the rest of it but don’t tell anyone, keep it a secret.

Rounded Beaks

These bird kaomojis all have sort of rounded beaks.  This style is probably the original kind of bird emoticon and they can easily be penguins or any other kind of bird.
