Flat Mouths
These text faces have a smug looking flat shaped mouth. It makes their faces a bit wider and doesn’t give away too much of an emotional response. Since we know they are smug, it is implied that they are excessively proud about themselves. Showing any other emotion would almost take away from their pride.

Happy Mouths
These dongers have a sort of standard happy face smiley mouth. Whatever was said or done, they are being smug about it as well as feeling happy. Happily proud. One even has its chin way up high as if it is better than the other text faces.
