Flushed Cheeks with Vertical and Sometimes Slightly Diagonal Lines
These shy or embarrassed emotes all have vertical lines on their cheeks to show they’re blushing. Sometimes these lines are slightly diagonal or covering their whole face. This is a lot like the way anime characters blush. This is most likely the type of shy blushing that happens when someone is truly embarressed, like if they were caught doing something wrong or their crush found out they like them.

Circles for Cheeks
These Japanese emoticons use a circle-like character for their cheeks to indicate that they’re blushing from either shyness or embarrassment. This style of shy emoticon is pretty toned down because the blush is so minimal. Using a darker blush, like with the character ●, does make it a bit more intense if that is what you want to go for.
