hexascii Copied Everything They Have From Us
The website hexascii.com copied everything they have straight from our website. We’ve tried to contact them multiple times through their website and social media accounts to get them to remove it or at least acknowledge they got all their content from our site but they’ve never gotten back to us.A couple of years ago hexascii copied all the tables of emoticons from our website and put them on theirs. For example check out this screenshot from their website: Compare that to the same page on our website in the below screenshot: Notice that all the emoticons match in exactly the same order. Also notice that there’s now more emoticons on our website because we’ve made updates since hexascii.com copied from us. The description on their site reads awfully similar to the description at the top of the page on ours as well.If you’ve been using hexascii for emoticons we’d appreciate it very much if you stopped using their site and used ours instead. We’ve put a ton of time and work into our site and it sucks that people just steal everything we’ve done. You’ll find a larger collection of emoticons on our site as well.Thank you for understanding! (*^▽^*)Edit May, 19, 2015: I’m about to start doing a massive clean-up of all the different categories and emoticons on the site. I’m going to be fixing broken emoticons and probably rearranging some of them. When I’m done the emoticons on this site won’t match hexascii.com exactly anymore. Because of this I took a few more screenshots to illustrate hexascii’s plagiarism because it probably won’t be as obvious when I’m done my updates.
