Japanese fish emoticons are somewhat different from other emoticons because they appear from the side and they very much look like swimming fish. You can add or subtract brackets to change the length of the fishes body. It’s also very easy to make crabs and whales as well. Plus, if you look closely you might find a kaomoji frog!
Fish
Kaomoji fish are pretty easy to make just by using brackets and > or < characters. Brackets can be used for the body and then < and > can be used for the tail and the mouth. You can also use 彡 for tails or fins. Fish can be made to be swimming left or right. Right to make two fish that are kissing! Use these puckered up lips ❥!

Crabs
The character ミ can be used to make the legs on crab emojis. You can also use characters like v or < and > for crab pincers. You can experiment with either highly simplified looks or more complicated crabs.
