Emoticonsbook.com Copied Our Site and our App
Emoticonsbook.com is another site that blatantly copied from our site. I’ve reached out to them over social media to let them know this isn’t cool but they never respond back. Here are some screenshots of our iOS app compared to theirs. Version 1.0 of our app was released in June 2013 and their app came out on May 13, 2015. Our app is on the left and theirs is on the right. Here’s a screenshot of the dead emoticons page on our site on August 29, 2015. Notice again how the order matches their app exactly. You’ll notice with the red lines that they match up exactly. This is always a dead give away when someone copies from us.We’ve explained before that there’s no copyright or anything on these emoticons but we’ve collected ours from numerous sources over several years and if you just come in and copy entire lists of emoticons after all the work we’ve done and claim them as yours then you pretty much suck. Please don’t visit their site, please don’t download their app and if you see anyone linking to them please let them know about our site instead.Thank you for your understanding. It’s very annoying seeing so many sites and apps copy our content.
