When I first started this site I didn’t want to include any Japanese emoticons that had words with them. I cleaned up a bunch of them and only put the actual face part of the emoticon on this site. I did this because a lot of kaomoji with words included looked like a mess or were written in Japanese which a lot of people wouldn’t be able to understand.

However, recently I’ve seen more and more kaomoji that have words using all kinds of fancy characters instead of just typing normal letters. Because a lot of these emoticons looked so good, I’ve decided to add in this category of kaomoji with words in them. A lot of these are truly works of art.

Hello

Below is a series of possibilities for how to write the word, “hello.” A pretty standard way to write it is as нёllо, which looks very neat and tidy. Alternatively, you could go for something bigger, or even go french to say, “bonjour!” Include more than one emoticon so that it looks like they greeting one another.

Goodbye

Goodbye is one of the first words people learn in a new language, which goes to show how often it is used. Considering this, I had to put together a section just for this farewell, which is said as either “bye,” “bye bye,” or “see you.” Writing “bye” twice comes off as a little cuter than if you just say it once. Include a waving arm on an emoticon with づ to pull the whole thing together.
