SmugThese smug little Japanese emoticons think they’re better than you! Are they? Probably not. Are you better than someone else? Probably. Throw that in their face with one of these smug kaomoji emoticons. For smug Japanese emoticons you want to use closed eyes like ￣. Anything you can do to put their nose up in the air too definitely helps.
ヘ is the Hiragana character for “he” and it makes a great smug looking mouth. It’s also kind of a smug sounding sound when pronounced out loud. How perfect is that? These emoticons don’t need to be too complex or anything in order to get across that smug look.

Kaomojis that use a ω for a mouth and look smug. This mouth also makes them look super cute. It is as if they resort to their cuteness in order to achieve that smug expression. Not sure what that really means. To

These smug emojis simply use a ~ like character for a mouth. Otherwise, they are pretty similar to the other faces in this category. Flat and closed eyes like ￣ are great for showing that these emoticons are smug. Many of them are also blushing or have a bead of sweat on their head.

These Japanese emoticons use a ェ for their smug looking mouths. Just like the other emotes in this category, they really don’t need to be all that complex. A smug look almost needs to be simple. They are so proud of themselves regardless so why bother?
|੧| ‾́ェ ‾́ |੭|
These text faces have a smug looking flat shaped mouth. It makes their faces a bit wider and doesn’t give away too much of an emotional response. Since we know they are smug, it is implied that they are excessively proud about themselves. Showing any other emotion would almost take away from their pride.
|<(￣ー￣)>||（；￣ー￣）||੧| ‾́ー ‾́ |੭|
These dongers have a sort of standard happy face smiley mouth. Whatever was said or done, they are being smug about it as well as feeling happy. Happily proud. One even has its chin way up high as if it is better than the other text faces.
|੧| ‾́︶ ‾́ |੭||（；￣︶￣）||(￣︶￣;)|
These emotes use a Å for a sort of nose up smug look. It’s up to you to decide why to use these smug emoticons. Try adding in some words or other emotes to explain the situation. Why are you feeling so smug that you want to use a smug emote?!
|(#´Å｀)||| ￣Å￣|o||〳 ᓀÅᓂ)|
These smug facemarks are raising their nose up and looking down on you. These are truly the “I’m better than you” emoticons in the smug section. They expect the world to bow down at their feet and recognize their greatness. That’s just so smug of them.
|┏|￣＾￣* |┛||(￣^￣ﾒ)＼(_ _ ;)||(#´＾｀)|
Below are other text faces that are still smug but didn’t really fit in the above categories. I couldn’t exclude them, though, so here they are in a giant bundle. Can you find any in here that you especially resonate with? You must be pretty smug yourself if you do!

These Japanese emoticons are a little bit more complicated and might not display correctly on every device. Some of the characters they use are just not recognized on every browser or device. If you are having issues, then try changing browsers. I always say that Safari is the best browser to use to get complex emoticons to show up properly.
SportsThis section has various Japanese emoticons that are related to different sports such as football, tennis, ping pong, basketball, swimming and more. These all used to be on the other actions page but there’s now enough of them that I think they deserve their own category.
Just some emojis playing catch with each other. You can use a bullet point (●) for the ball and just surround it with empty spaces to show that it is in the air. Use emoticons with their arms up to show they are throwing and catching the ball. This is such a fun and classic game.

Ping Pong or Table Tennis
These dongers are all playing ping pong or table tennis. They’re holding paddles, you can see the ball in some of them and they all have a little table with a net. Hopefully no one comes by to flip the table. That would be completely chaotic.

These text faces are playing regular tennis, which is similar to table tennis however there isn’t a table, just a net. There are a few options for tennis rackets. ⌕ is my personal favourite. These sports emoticons take up a bit more room so be sure that they won’t be broken up into multiple lines when you use them.
I guess technically playing with a yoyo isn’t really a sport but this section made the most sense for these facemarks. Are these still as popular these days? I remember being a kid and having at least 5 yoyos. You can choose to lengthen or shorten the yoyo string by altering the number of ~ characters you use.

Volleyball dongers are similar to the ones playing catch except now there’s a net in between them. ⊥ is the character used to show the net. This is definitely one of the more popular sports, especially for people living near the beach. If you happen to be going to the beach then this might be a good time to use a volleyball donger.

These emojis are bowling. You basically just need a throwing emoticon and some pins, made using the English letter i. These emoticons all look so happy playing bowling! Strike! Time to go in for that turkey!

Soccer or Football
These facemarks are engaged in the sport of soccer or football depending on what country you’re in. ┏┓ is used to show the net, while 〇 makes a great soccer ball or football. Hilariously, one of these emoticons fell on it’s face when trying to kick the ball. It must have missed. That has got to hurt!

You can use a Ю to make a basketball hoop. Then, all you have to do is just add in any emoji with raised arms and a ball. Now you’ve got basketball emoticons! It wasn’t so hard, was it?

These kaomojis are swimming for their sport. Use a bunch of 人 characters to make great waves. Show the emoticons have their arms up as if they are splashing and having fun! Hopefully nobody starts to drown!

With sport emoticons you of course need some cheerleader ones. There are several options for the pom poms themselves, so choose your favourite from below! You can also add pompoms to dancing emoticons to show cheerleaders doing a routine. That is definitely going above and beyond.

These are other various sports related activities that didn’t really have their own category. Nonetheless, they are so awesome that I needed to include them all. The sport activities are all written beside the emoticon so you can see what is going on. You will probably find what you are looking for in this list if you haven’t found it already.

SurprisedThese kaomojis are surprised. You might even say that some of them are shocked! Shocked and Appalled even! What has these Japanese emoticons so shocked? That we’ll never know but if someone ever delivers news that you find surprising or shocking then you’ll want to reply back to them with one of these emoticons. For shocked or surprised Japanese emoticons you mainly want to use an open mouth such as a □ or Д. Or you can just use an o, capital O or 0 for a big wide open shocked mouth. You can also use characters to show raised arms. A lot of surprised emoticons also have a Σ in them. I think that’s supposed to indicate holding a hand to your head or something. Exclamation marks are always good to include too.
These kaomojis have big square mouths to indicate their surprise. Sometimes square characters mean that they are not showing up properly on your browser or device. These squares are intentional, though, so don’t get confused. These surprised emoticons are letting out a little gasp from their square mouths.

Д Style Mouths
Here are a bunch of surprised dongers with Д characters for mouths. These shocked mouths look a little more appalled than some of the other mouths in this category. They all seem to use little cirlce eyes like ꒪ and ゜, which is good because these characters sit up high. Lower eyes don’t always look the best with these mouths.

Small Round Mouths
These surprised emojis have small round mouths open in surprise. They are in disbelief over something that has happened. Still, these emotes are not being overly dramatic or anything and keeping their suprise a bit on the down low. Except for this emoticon, ⍥⃝⃝, who’s tiny face makes the little round mouth appear giant.

Medium Sized Round Mouths
These are some surprised Japanese emoticons with medium sized round mouths. They have their mouths open wide to express their shock. Most of these text faces use the English letter o for these mouths. This makes them a bit easier to make if you are in a hurry to create a text face.

Large Round Mouths
These text faces have big shocked round wide open mouths. Use the a capital letter O or the character ◯ to achieve this large, round, and surprised looking mouth. It kind of looks like a yawn, too, but then that wouldn’t fit in the surprised category. These Japanese emotes will need to be careful or a fly might go right into their wide, open mouths…

Hands of Shock
These text faces are so shocked they’re covering their mouths with their hands. They are probably thinking “omg” or “wow” in their heads instead of speaking it out loud. Or maybe they are so surprised that they cant do anything but cover their mouths out of shock and sit there silently. I know I’ve done that before.

SunglassesThese Japanese emoticons are wearing sunglasses. Maybe they think they’re being cool. Maybe they’re douchebags. Maybe the sun’s just too bright. Whatever the reason, if you need kaomoji with eye wear then this is the place to look. They can be on an emoticon’s face or maybe just held in their hand. This category also includes regular glasses for a chic or bookworm look, as well as emotes wearing monocle’s for that extra classy look! This section is split up depending on the style of sunglasses being used, such as square, triangular, or monocle. The glasses are made using a few different characters, rather than just a single one, so you will have to get a little creative if you want to design and construct one of your own sunglass emoticons!
Square Shaped Sunglasses
These text faces simply have square shaped sunglasses and, in a few cases, regular glasses. Both are constructed the same way, the only difference being that sunglasses are made with ■ and regular glasses are made with ▨. You can show an emoticon is putting glasses on by creating a series: start with an emoticon without any glasses, then make one that is holding a pair of glasses, and finish off by showing the glasses are now on it’s face. To show an emoticon taking glasses off, you simply reverse the order!

Triangle Shaped Sunglasses
These emojis, on the other hand, have triangle shaped sunglasses. They seem to be going for a slightly unconventional look, as if they want to stand out from the crowd or start a new trend. Maybe they just want to live outside of the box and so square glasses felt too limiting. Who knows, but there sure are a lot of emoticons to choose from in this list.

Other Shaped Sunglasses
These are kaomojis with sunglasses of different shapes such as diamonds or circles. These use the characters ◆ and ●. Use one of these kaomojis if you are feeling especially spectacular today and want to show off your unique flare with diamond or circle shaped glasses. If you love John Lennon or if you are a hippy, the circle shades will also work nicely for you.
When you need a bit of a classier emote, put on a monocle. They immediately look super fly and like they are worth a million bucks. Hey, even their words become more persuasive when they wear a monocle! So go ahead and add in some words beside these emotes, because monocles mean power!! This is also a great way to show an old man. Don’t forget, other creatures can wear sunglasses too! Try adding a monocle to a cloud or a rabbit!
